Proud :)

This is the first ever produce that Grace has not only planted, but also tended and then harvested ( a little early, perhaps, but it was a joy to see her pulling the carrots from the soil with such excitement and pride!). They are baby chantenay variety, part of the freebies Grace received as part of the BBC's 'Dig In' campaign this year. We've also had some courgettes and salad leaves from it, but Grandad and I have looked after them more than Grace has!

Today was brilliant. We went for lunch at Wheelbirks, an ice cream parlour which is also a cafe and has indoor and outdoor play areas for the kids. We were there with four other mums and their little ones and it was really lovely to see the kids all playing together, like REALLY playing together and interacting, instead of just playing alongside each other. Glorious weather too!
