Edinburgh at twilight

Found it hard to decide again which photo to blip but decided on this one taken as the street activities started to close down after another Festival day in Edinburgh.

Another pleasant evening spent in the city with two shows visited.

First a play by the Hull Truck Theatre Company called Up 'n Under. Excellent.

And then to the Jazz club to hear the Andi Neate Band play an hour of Scottish folk/jazz in a lovely intimate setting.

Quick bite to eat - not telling what I had in case Mrs DD reads this! - and then off to Waverley St station to met 'Shadowlight' - daughter-in-law Ruth - off the train from Oxford. It had been a long hot journey for her so we spend an hour in a local hostelry, chatting over a couple of drinks before putting her in a taxi and getting the last train back to Bathgate.

Thank you Mr Tesco for inviting me up here to work for the week. The same week next year would be great!

Oh. Did I forget to say I was up here to work!
