Who invented flat-pack furniture?!

OK -- what clever bastard thought up flat-pack furniture?

We took delivery yesterday of three items of furniture from Next. All flat-packed. I started at 10.30am and didn`t finish until 5.30pm.

The instructions were good with all the panels numbered and all the -- many! -- fittings labelled. But even so -- what a mind-bending back-breaking infuriating hair-tearing divorce-threatening mind-blowing painful task to put the damn stuff together! When I was finished I was finished, physically and mentally. Could hardly stand up straight.

But the furniture looks OK. Will Blip it another day.

The Allen key is THE essential tool!
