Basilica de Santo Nino

Friday is when devotees flock to the Basilica de Santo Nino in Cebu. They are seen lined-up waiting to hear mass and pray from sunrise and into the late hours of the evening. These ladies, in red and yellow with their umbrellas to shade them from the scorching heat. are the candle ladies of the church. They sell candles to whoever wants to light one up and make a special prayer.
