Only in Edinburgh...

I met my friend Dot this afternoon to visit the Book Festival. While we were have lunch some chaps arrived to recite Robert Burns' Tam O'Shanter. Their mission to perform it in every pub in Rose Street - this was their fourth.

Some of the tourists were bemused but it was a good laugh.

Catch them at Burns Bites Back at The Vault (Venue 29) where your ticket gets you the performance of Burns' works and a haggis pie. What more could you wish for!

By the way we saw Declan Hughes and Stuart Neville at the Book Festival - title Modern Crime Novels Given an Irish Twist - reading from and talking about their latest books.

Very enjoyable.
