Bleary morning sun...

Son number two is playing some cheeky games in the night. After various periods of illness I had taken to bringing him into our bed when he wakes, but this week the parents are claiming back their bed. It breaks my heart hearing him upset, but sleeping independently is a gift that he deserves and only we can give him, so..... we've developed a plan and (despite middle of the night wobbles!) we're sticking to it.

Thus followed an understandably problematic night. This morning, as the sun was striving to pour through our windows, I wasn't ready to let it in. The colours were amazing and were the precursor to a (mostly) beautiful day here in Manchester (contrary to the weather forecast and geographic stereotype).
