Changing seasons

The changing seasons were evident today in Redwood Regional Park. Flowers are fading, butterflies are scarcer, streams are drier. Poison oak has turned bright red, adding to the autumnal feeling. The chilly fog made it seem like autumn. But the fog was gone by the time we ended our hike, and we often have hot Septembers and Octobers. Still, we had the feeling of a changing season. Southern hemisphere residents, be happy; your summer's on the way!
