A day off

Things have been pretty hectic as of late, so much so that i've not really even had a chance to blip. So while I took in a days fishing today I thought I should also get the blip train back on track.

Today the Rodger men took in a days fishing at Beecraigs loch, just outside Linlithgow. Tradiotionaly my Grandad and Dad went at the end of the fishing season for one final day out before winter, and since my Grandads passing a few years ago I have taken his place.

The last few years have been stupidly cold/stormy, which has resulted in us both blanking. Today was a mini triumph though with the pair of us taking 2 lovely rainbows each.

There were other boats our there who caught for more than us, but seeing as we were the only ones using tradional flies (and not using fish finding sonar like some boats), we felt we did a good job. Some kinda guy gave us some of his catch too as he had just caught too many to take home. It was a lovely day too, luckily I didnt need my new neoprene gloves.

Off to Khushi's now for a tasty Indian meal for Fiona's birthday.

See you all tomorrow!
