Woman in Red

Today we flew out to Bhairahawa for our field trip. Britni and I left a day earlier than the rest of the group so we'd have a chance to visit Lumbini, which is the city in southwest Nepal where Buddha was born. The Sacred Garden and surrounding Monastery area were very interesting. Visit britni's blip for today for more information about it.

This photo was taken during the bumpy taxi ride from the hotel in Bhairahawa to Lumbini. The landscape is very beautiful... it seems like everyone working in the (very green) rice fields is dressed in beautifully colored clothing.
