Disk Error

When you work in IT, family and friends often think that means your good at fixing computers and will take a look at any little thing that's wrong with their gateway to t'internet.

Today was no exception. One of our closest friends had a problem with her PC and her daughter was driving her mad without her fix to facebook/msn etc, so asked me to take a look U R G E N T L Y.

Summary: fried hard disk.

Have you ever started a rebuild only for the drive to finally give up on you, wasting the previous hour or twos effort? I have!

Solution, replace HD with a new one, kick off rebuild again and vent frustration on inanimate object using trusty tool, then use as topic of today's blip, and finally have a beer ;)
