Clever or not?

I love looking at catalogues for kitchenware and marvel at the solutions to problems we didn't even know we had the provide, I have barred myself from falling for the latest gadget, because often the don't get used!

I saw these in Marks & Spencers and was thinking are they a clever idea or another 'solution to a problem that didn't exist'. I didn't rush to buy any - did anyone else, will have to see if they get shelf life in a few months time?!
