Cycle Ride
I returned to the same location as yesterday this afternoon. I reckoned that a shot I took yesterday would probably turn out better with the 50mm lens on my Canon. And so it proved.
But then I saw a group of cyclists approaching. The opportunites to shoot people are few and far between in Jacksonville and most cities in the southern United States -- the main reason being that people do not walk because of the heat.
I often envy photographers who live in Europe, where the streets of the major cities are filled with people. Probably Boston and New York are the only two cities in the United States that come close in terms of street photography opportunities.
So given that my chances of capturing people are so rare, I decided to make this photo of the cyclists my blip for today. I was also rather pleased that my manual focusing skills were working well, which is not always the case. :-) The young lady's tattoos are as sharp as sharp can be.
