Fading Farms

Western New York is losing lots of farms in favor of housing developments. A sad fact seeing that the population of the area is fairly stagnent. This means that the people that are remaining will eventually live in a sprawling area and the very fertile farmland that take up that sprawl now will be used for future housing development. Not a brilliant idea for sustainability.

Anyways this barn is across the street from a still working farm in Penfield, NY. Just down the road from the 2010 Homearama. A local showcase of 5 homes built most likely on an old farm -- case in point.
