Fade away

I walk past St Mary's every day. It's right on the river front and I usually walk in front of it. But today I decided to look down the side which is where most of the gravestones are.

On one or two headstones I could just about make out dates in the early 1800s - and they're fading fast. Many headstones had already reached that point where the elements have completely smoothed away any record of who the grave belongs to. I wonder if they have a record in the church?
