Looming

See those dark strips in the sky? That's the rain in the distance, shortly before it got us and we ran from the beach for shelter. Initially we just huddled in the dunes and decided not to mind, until we realised we did mind...and were getting cold actually. It was that hurtling towards you kind of rain...

We scurried away across the dunes and the flat grass behind, carrying buckets and rucksacks and making lots of silly noise.

It was one of those moments when you feel truly awake and alive (but also rather wish you were not..)
