wild swimming

It was a beautiful day and so we decided to take a walk around Buttermere.

After about 4 miles the kids had had enough and needed a swim. It looked enticing but the reality was that it was rather cold and so for the younger ones it was more of a dip.

However the older girls braved it out and swam across and back - very impressive to us adults taking it easy on the shore!
