Fun on Balance Bike

School out at 12pm for 2 weeks for the P1's so off with a gang of the nursery kids and their mothers to Scone Palace for a picnic and to let them run wild in the grounds - climb trees, make a den in the dense roddies, get lost in the maze and ride the balance bikes.

These bikes are great for learning a child to get their balance - no pedals or stabilisers - just brakes and a footplate - it learns them the centre point of balance and should make the transition on to the proper bike easier. Magnus, one of Cameron's friends mum and dad have just started a business selling these here in Perth.

It was a lovely afternoon, apart from the wasps which descended on us the minute the fruit and the juice were out of the picnic bags. Aaargh. And the sun shone. . . . . . .
