It's about time
Today has been a very odd one.
I awoke to find my expensive watch stop working after being on my wrist for the best part of 7 years now. I took a trip to the doctor, i'll survive another day it seems. Then took a bus to Glasgow and did a bit of...well..wandering around with a friend who was doing a bit of shopping before she heads on holiday in a couple of weeks.
Time was being a bit strange though, the day felt like a year yet my watch decided to say it was 7 hours before the real time, the time on the bus said it was 2 hours before the time on my watch yet my friend had pre-arranged for her mobile to be 10 minutes earlier than the real time which thankfully was correct on my phone.
I guess what is also quite strange is, it was 10 years ago Donald Dewar died. For those unaware, Donald Dewar was Scotlands first "First Minister" in the Scottish Parliament, the photograph is a statue erected in memory of Donald on Glasgows Sauchiehall Street. I remember loving this politician, i loved what his views were. He seemed like a very genuine politician and didn't give off the impression he was in the job for selfish reasons. He genuinely seemed to care about Scotland, and i honestly don't think we could have had a better first minister than Mr Dewar himself.
I remember the day he died very well. I was only 14 years old, yet his death shocked me.
Despite carrying my camera around all day i only ever did take this one photo. Like others taken with this camera, they appeared okay on the screen but when uploaded turned out to be pretty poor.
Not had alot of time to do much this last couple of days. I will back blip, however now is not the best time.
