golden tree

After a week and a half of grey, cold, wet, blistery, un-summer-like (is that a word of sorts?) weather, the sun suddenly appeared for about ten minutes and turned the town into a cheerful, happy place. This tree is very green but tonight, for a little while, it looked like it was dipped in gold. Amazing how a bit of sunshine can make everyone giddy with excitement.
