Jane of Didsbury

I went with a friend to the second day of the Saddleworth Rushcart Festival when the Morris men are outside the old Church of St Chads and beside the Saddleworth pub with its many varieties of real ale.
The weather was warm and sunny, the beer excellent, the dancing good, the wrestling hilarious and the gurning...... Well Jane of Didsbury was by far the best in my view. Some of the men even took out their teeth to make themselves more competitive, but Jane's the one for me!
