Emergency blip

You know those days where you just cant seem to find anything interesting, or take anything worth posting? Yeah, today was one of those days.

I went into my new work again. That makes three days in work this week, two at the new place and one, yesterday, at the old. Um, seriously, its the holidays people!

And being at work all day meant I was a little preoccupied - Its very annoying this work thing getting in the way of the photography, *tsk.

So this evening I desperately tried to find inspiration and get a decent shot... I tried..

Birds (kept flying off)
Rain drops (got cold and wet and gave up)
Spider (wouldnt focus)
My glass of prosecco (couldnt find a good background for it)
Glass bubbles (rubbish)
A piece of amethyst (also rubbish)
My eye (wouldnt focus)
My hand (dont ask)
And even a self-portrait (just. yuck)

Then lying on my bed, annoyed at my serious photography fail, I saw this. It's my lampshade.

Its certainly not very clever or beautiful or inspired, but I like the shapes the cut-outs make.

Tomorrow I will endeavor to do better...
