i was down here to vacuum the inside of the car. car pride is not one of my sins but i gave my friend a lift earlier and suddenly saw the disgusting filth of broken breadsticks and other fodder shoved at the kids between school and home. it was the fact that she wiped the gunk off her bum as she got out that swung me.
i'm now wistful about not having taken a photo of the car wash which bore the sign "one day all cars will be washed like this". there's a dream we can all share....
gradually glasgow is opening up to the river but it'll be interesting to see who gets the river views.... here on the north side, there used to be huge store buildings - now executive flats - and the south side is still scratching a living with one of the few remaining shipyards. the two sides face each other across the water. i suspect i know which side will win.
both behind and in the distance, the pavement abruptly stops where the next lot of building works start.
