A Day of Rest

It is amazing how long it can take to transition from being on the road for almost 3 weeks to being back home....

The camper still needs to be unpacked
The kids are still waking up WAY too early
Mom and Dad are still very tired

So we took it easy today.

The day began with a "trial run" of a new babysitter...all went well and she will be returning soon! Yay!

We ended the evening with a dinner with a great friend of ours...a friend who only pops into our life a few times a year now, but a friend who we share very special memories with. And he's the kind of friend where you feel like a moment never passes.

Onto tomorrow and the relearning of routines :)

(This is a photo of my youngest...he recently decided he no longer wanted to sleep in his crib and started jumping out. This is his first official nap out of his crib, a glorious hour for me. Currently he is sleeping on his crib mattress on the floor of his room...tomorrow the new bed is to be delivered!)
