Here Britni is reading an albuminometer. The test uses Esbach's reagent to cause albumin to precipitate out of urine, which allows for an accurate measurement of the amount of protein in a given sample. The test that Britni helped design is much cheaper and much easier to use and will hopefully help pregnant women around the world detect preeclampsia much earlier and get to a hospital for treatment.
