Dunlin
Sincere apologies for not replying to comments yesterday, I had a major computer malfunction last night. A friend has spent the day 'repairing' it while I swanned off to the coast for the day. The weather was not as forecast, it rained and blew all day so the expected migrants did not arrive. I did manage to photograph a pair of Dunlin albeit in dreadful light. Dunlin are small wading birds that visit our shores in their thousands every year. They do breed inland, I've seen them on their breeding grounds on Kinder Scout in Derbyshire from which they go to the coast because of the abundance of food on mudflats and estuaries. This one was photographed at Spurn Point.
