Quietude
I discovered this little "street" a few months ago on a nice sunny evening like today, but I got a better Blip that day so this didn't feature. I was really lucky finding it, as it's up a narrow street off a one way system and right up at the very end.
It doesn't count as a street really, I suppose, as it's more of a courtyard. According to a nice elderly chap I spoke to, these connected terraces were build around 1750 by the Church of Ireland for retired clergy. There are even a few still living there now. He said the church doesn't really do much maintenance so they are pretty run down and have loads of original features inside.
When I first visited the place a few months ago, I got a strong impression of East German 1950s architecture, but as I found out this evening, I was only 200 years out in my estimation!
(Sincere thanks to all those Blippers who made lovely comments on my 200th yesterday - I was smiling like the Cheshire Cat all day today)
