Sign of the Takahe

This is a neat old building by Christchurch standards. Nothing special in the UK, but it's one of the older buildings here. It was originally built as a staging post for the journey across the hills from Lyttelton Harbour to Christchurch. It's about 200 metres from where I live. Named after a native bird (the Takahe), there is another building further up the hill named The Sign of the Kiwi.
