Back to work ... well, not quite!

Grannie and Grandpa came over today as they were going to watch Ethan for an hour or so while I had a very important meeting. Yup, it was the meeting with my boss to discuss when I'm going back to work and what hours I'll be doing. Eeek! I was really nervous when I drove into the carpark as I've now been off work for 11 months. Although I've been in for 2 visits with Ethan during this time, I still feel like a bit of a stranger. I took him in for 1/2 hour first of all for cuddles with my colleagues, and then my parents took him off for a walk up to the Union Canal and back.

The meeting was actually ok although it was strange getting my head back in "work mode" to listen to the overview of recent events my boss was giving me. He seems happy with the hours etc I've proposed I go back. Subject to HR approval, I should be able to stay off till mid January so at least I can now relax a bit knowing I can enjoy Christmas without being at work. As last Christmas was spent visiting Ethan in SBCU I'll be treating this year as his first proper one!

We then went over to The Gyle for some non coffee drinks - always seems strange ordering drinks other than coffees in Starbucks but I just don't like coffee!

Watched some of the Blip event this evening on Bambuser. First time I've done that and made me wish I'd been there this evening.
