glimpses of the past

Sorting through old postcards and family documents turned up these slips of paper loaded with a whole story in a few lines.

This dates from 1915 when "concentration camp" didn't have the same dreadful meaning that it does now. In fact most of the time now they are referred to as "internment camps".These papers belonged to my Great Uncle who was a German national interned in the camp during the 1914-19 war.
