A Host of Golden Daffodils!

Today is Daffodil Day in Australia. This is a massive fundraiser by the Cancer Council of Australia.

Apart from the daffodils, there are pens, badges, keyrings, teddy bears, footballs, bags, and bracelets to buy. We, of course, ended up buying badges, bags, pens, and keyrings as well as the daffodils.

It was also a local public holiday today which meant plenty of people were out at the shops, so of course they were buying up plenty of the daffodils etc.

The weather has also been beautiful, bright and sunny, with a slightly cool breeze.

So today has been a chance for us all to spend the day together, with lots of chat and laughter.

PS I'm trying to persuade my daughter to start blipping, so we were vying to see who could take the best photo of the daffodils.

PPS Hers are much better than mine. Damn it!!

PPPS My son has just brought me cake and strawberries. Yummy!!

It has been a good day!
