Time to hit the books

I've lived in Norway for more than two years now, and I still don't have anything but the most rudimentary grasp of the language. Most Norwegians speak wonderful English, so it's easy to be lazy, but I really need to progress beyond the one sentence I already employ at parties: "Hvis den jævla isbjørnen kommer nærmere, så breker jeg nesa på den" (if that fucking polar bear comes any closer, I'll break its nose).
