beachcombing blipday :)
It's my blipday - so excited, can't wait for the red balloon!!
I first saw a short article about Blipfoto when I was on holiday in Scotland, thought it sounded interesting and resolved to find out more about it on my return. 100 days later and I am truly hooked!
Several things are impressive - the sheer quality of the blips - I always look forward to logging-on, and looking through what's coming in and catching up to date with journals. It has also been a real pleasure to 'meet' people from so many different parts of the world - Egypt, Norway, New Zealand, France, Spain, US, Italy, Finland, UK, Shetlands, Ireland .... the list goes on. It is hugely enjoyable to see what's happening in the streets of Cairo or Bilbao, what the weather is like in New Zealand or Shetland; who's eating what in Tuscany or France; and the amazing range of architecture and landscape out there!
Blipping has also made me take so much notice of what's around me and to appreciate what I have. My photographic skills may have improved a little on the way, but I no longer travel anywhere without my camera.
Someone did warn me way back on Day 1 that blipping was addictive and they were right! Thank you to everyone who's taken a peek at my journal and for all the supportive comments. Now for the next 100, does it start getting tough now??
Today's blip by the way is all beach combed fragments of sea glass and pottery - another favourite pastime, mooching around on the beach seeing what I can find - and the results can be surprising.
Enough - on to the balloon :)
