Hive of activity Riccarton House Farmers' Market

Great little outing on a Saturday morning is the market at Riccarton House - Dean's Bush. There's excellent coffee, every imaginable treat - pies, cupcakes, samosas, honey, jams, jellies and sauces, as well as organic hand and face creams and lovely organic vegetables and free range eggs. There's free range meat of all sorts, and oil and chocolate.

There's always music, and if you are feeling energetic (or need to walk off too many samples) you can go for a walk in Dean's Bush, and have a look at the little cottage.
