Doves

Despite what I said yesterday, today has been great weather-wise.

I was allowed a lie-in this morning and crashed right through until 10 which is unheard of. I obviously needed it!

Went to St Fagans open-air museum for the afternoon where they have moved lots of old buildings stone by stone to one amazing place. I had every intention of photographing the Gwalia General Store that used to be situated in Ogmore Vale where I live. I did catch it but later saw doves leaving a huge dovecote in another part of the grounds so I ran over and caught this. The Gwalia Stores are there for next time...this dove may not be.

Have to dash...have 4 tonnes of wood being delivered ahead of the winter cold for the wood burner on the ground floor of our house. I'm not really looking forward to the end of summer but it is lovely sitting down there on cold nights with a real fire and looking out over the valley.

Welsh Black fillet for supper from the local farm too...happy Saturday all!
