Halloween is almost here...

I dunno.. I wish it felt as halloween-y as I did back in high school. There's just too much going on here, it's a completely different atmosphere...

I kind of want some of the fun back, you know? I mean.. around here, halloween is the holiday "where girls dress as slutty as they really are for one day," and that's all fine and dandy, but I miss trick-or-treating and halloween parties with corny games and all that.

Back in Pennsylvania we'd always have a neighborhood halloween party, then go out trick-or-treating, and then come back to my driveway and sit around a hearth. I miss those cool, crisp October nights with candy and the smell of burning leaves and firewood...

yeah, I dunno. Nostalgia, I guess.
