Painting

It's too dull to blip a view outside today, so I'm blipping a painting instead. While my children are away, I've painted them each a picture. This is the one for my son, inspired by Sargent whose seascapes blew me away on Friday. I painted it yesterday, but then decided today that the sky was too dark and foreboding. So I've made the sky calmer. I'm not sure whether to give the boy and the dog in the boat more detail. Thinking about it.

I think I'll be experimenting with the colours of the sea in my paintings for the next few weeks. This is a detail from the sea.
