Red Mounatins

High in the San Juans of Southwestern Colorado above Ouray are the red mountains. in the short 20 year mining heyday this region produced over thirty million dollars in silver, lead, zinc, copper and gold. Today the mines are mostly abandoned, and tourist come to take in the spectacular views.
