A Quiet Evening

Rachel is going "home" to California. She and I and Faraway Grandma are leaving on the 10th to take her (and Danny Boy) back to her beautiful desert home where she has a wonderful job, great friends, a wonderful sister and brother-in-law who have missed her all summer and a ton of activities. That is what makes saying good-bye to her in September bearable.

So this last weekend alone (next weekend is Labor Day weekend and we have company coming) we decoded to go spend the weekend at our lake house. We have worked for a long time trying to get it livable again but this is the first time we have stayed the night in it in, probably, 10 years! I took many pretty pictures of flora, fauna, sky and water but this one meant the most to me. This is exactly what I wanted for this last weekend together.
