Taurus on the Curb
Today was trash pick-up day for us, and today was the day my wife decided to say good-bye to Taurus--a stuffed leather bull that was given to her former husband by his mother over 35 years ago.
Taurus the Bull was designed as a footstool but never used as such. He has stayed quietly with us since our marriage, most recently in our bedroom. Although I never took much notice of him, I was sorry to see him put on the street--and I'm happy to report that he was soon taken by someone, who we hope will give him a good new home.
Our condominium consists of the large house on the left (we are in Unit #2 on the 2nd and 3rd floors), and the carriage house on the right (Unit #3). The large brick building in the right background is the former Northampton jail next door--now also a condominium, with over 50 units.
