Hop Into My Life!

Back from holiday in London yesterday - think I need a holiday to get over it!

Spent a good hour wandering around my garden with my camera this afternoon & the whole grass was alive in hoppers - everywhere I looked there jumped a hopper!

These are either Meadow or Woodland grasshoppers - g'hoppers definitely because of the short antennae (crickets have longer) & frankly I have never seen so many in one place! I used to shine my torch into the hedgerows at night years ago to find bush crickets, I could always detect them from the sounds they made!
