Borger D27

D27 is the biggest Hunebed of Europe. It lies near Borger, the Netherlands.

Today we went to the boomkroonpad (treewalk). It allowed us to walk approx. 25 metres above the ground between the tree tops. We also got a lot of information about the forest and its inhabitors (animals).

After our treewalk, we did a treewalk near the ground. We walked a route of 3,8km through the forest, by lakes that existed since the ice age and heath.

After our walk we still found time to visit the biggest hunebed near Borger. We waited until all other tourists had left and then took some nice pictures. This is just one of the many nice pictures I took today.
