Plums
My day started with a delightful stroll with my young canine companion. The wind from the west brought a chill to the air. My loyal friend ran and played with a young dog as I meandered along with the young lady.
The burden of employment took me away from the wonderful blue skies. My lunchtime escape took me to the heights of Arthur Seat as I ran with freedom over the grassy slopes. This was my second run after a long break and my legs carried me without a stop, delight.
A lovely evening walk home and on the corner I met these two fruits. To imagine that they started as a flower in the distant spring and have survived to flourish as magnificent forage. It was a day of plums, we had much fun and puns as I had brought such fruits to the team thsi morning.
A quiet house as the children had chosen not to arrive back at the specified time. Eco mum and I sat like the old days alone, catching up and having our dinner.
A lovely evening with friends at the allotment, we foraged berries, clawed at the earth for tatties and harvested herbs.
(Normal service will resume soon, the book festival has had an impact)
