Heart of the Artichoke
I guess this is another entry in the "truth is stranger than fiction" series. Because this is the truth -- the core of a flowering artichoke with pollen grains. Or it could be a Scottish thistle. Or a sea anemone. Or an alien. Or a dream.
There were at least two different species of bees devouring the pollen and I was filled with wonder and forgot the world as I saw the forms and shapes of this extraordinary flower.
Not bad for a Monday!
Last week of summer before school starts up again. K goes into grade 12, his last year of school. I'm not ready!
