Parental Visit

Today my parents visited us at the camping site. They came back from their vacation trip past weekend.

Together with my parents we went to Zaandam and Zaandijk. The Zaanse Schans is a very big tourist attraction in the Netherlands. There were several wind mills from different ages and with different functions. My girl's father's side of the family originates from that area.

We walked across the Zaanse Schans, got on a foot ferry, walked back to the car through Zaandijk, on the other side of the river (called the Zaan). There we had a drink on the terrace and we walked back to the car over the bridge and past the first Albert Heijn store of the Netherlands.

After this we went to pick up the cupboard my parents had bought for my eldest younger sister who had moved out. When we got back at the camping after that, we decided to go eat at a wok restaurant in Alkmaar that evening, and so we did.

It was a really nice day ^^
