Good Morning Cumbernauld

This is Arria a sculpture by Andy Scott which now stands on the North side of the A80 just beyond the Auchenkilns junction. She stands 10m high so you will not miss her as you drive past.

Apparently the name is based on Arria Fadilla mother of Emperor Antoninus.
And was chosen as the Antonine wall is a few miles to the North and the Antonine shopping centre is a few miles to the south.

Even though she looks like a mermaid with four arms I think I like her.
