is that strictly necessary?
OK, it makes for a nice blip - good cloud, nice shadows, cows, hills and SNOWY mountains. But, hell, snow? Really?
My new mantra is "winter is really nice really and I will enjoy it honest and it will be ages til the snow gets this far down really really really" whilst inside all of me is screaming "go south, go south!"
The birds started deserting us last week - they knew it was coming.
Oops, nearly forgot to write something I've wanted to share all day, I got carried away with the blipping snow in August thing. (IN AUGUST!)
Anyway, today I had a meeting at the techie university in Zürich and I found something out - I can't 'see' cities. As I got on the train I was kicking myself for not having a camera with me because I would've had the chance to blip something completely different, especially this which is pretty cute and old fashioned and I had to go on it anyway. But then I got to Zürich and, although I never have a problem negotiating my way from one bit to another and can work trams and things, I suddenly felt 'blind' because I couldn't see one single photo-op. It was a very weird experience and I suddenly understood why I find living in cities difficult - I can't see anything! When I tried to look more carefully I experienced a kind of sensory over-load, exactly what I'm currently reading about in this book. And then, as I cycled home, I saw this blip in front of me and felt like my sight had been restored - this is what my eyes see: countryside, trees, hills, cloud, animals.....amazing stuff.
