Peeking out of the glass box

Fruit is still one of my favorite snacks here in Thailand. On the streets, 10 Baht (about 30 cents) can get you a serving in a bag, sweet/salty/sour/spicy spices to dip it in, and a skewer to eat it with.

From this stand, pineapple (my favorite) is peeking out along with a green guava, the edge of a mango on the left, and a blurry cantaloupe slice on the right. Watermelon, coconut, and papaya are also common. It's a lucky day when you get one of the pieces sitting on the ice. They are the best by far because they are so cool and refreshing.
