My Life in the Day

Not "Diana and Actaeon"

Wandered down to McManus gallery on my lunchbreak today with the lovely Eleanor to see Titians painting Diana and Actaeon. Obviously wasn't allowed to photograph it but managed to capture these colourful beauties instead. If I'm being dead honest I preferred them to the Titian. I wonder how Diana would have punished me for this travesty? Perhaps a similar fate to poor Actaeon, whom she turned into a stag and was set upon and killed by his own dogs. The hunter became the hunted, in a wicked twist of fate. These Greek gods will insist on making mountains out of molehills: all Actaeon did was to accidentally stumble upon Diana bathing.
