Tomatoes

Today's the day ....................... to show off the tomatoes

Look at these ........... good eh?! It's been a very good year for tomatoes - in our greenhouse, at least. And there is nothing quite so tasty as a tomato that has just been picked. I don't know what they do to the ones you buy at the supermarket but they are just a different thing altogether from the ones you grow yourself .........

I read somewhere that tomato seeds are among the most indestructible things on the planet. They survive intact through most ordeals - including passing through the human digestive system. They showed a land-fill site somewhere which looked pretty bare and barren, until they zoomed in and showed that the first plants to colonise were little tomato seedlings......

Probably don't want to know how they got there ..............!
