Home to a beautiful sunset after a very eventful journey from London. The first leg of the journey was absolutely fine - in the company of a real life cowboy from Texas - dressed in a 10 gallon stetson, chaps and cowboy boots. He was rather gorgeous! Why he was going to view horses in Wrexham, of all places, was beyond my comprehension! However, we arrived in Chester on time and then the fun started! The train to North Wales arrived 40 minutes late, due to a fault in the door mechanism. We then set off, only for the doors to jam several times more, and I finally arrived in my town over an hour late.
Had a visit from daughter and family as it's my son-in-law's Birthday today. "Happy Birthday, J!"
Made some jam from the plums I brought back from D.P's garden, went grocery shopping and have finally sat down. Early night tonight, but, thanks Mr & Mrs D.P. for a lovely few days.
